Thought that I needed to spread out a bit more from Deviantart and this seemed to be a viable way to do so. But I can still be found at http://desertfire.deviantart.com/

I’ve always had these questions and answers in my head concerning the Step Up series so for fun I’ll answer them here and any fans that want to reblog and join in and answer are welcome to.
I suppose this is a Step Up Meme!!:
1. There are currently 4 movies of Step Up….put them in order of favs. (Yes, there can be ties, if need be.)
—Step Up 3D/ Step Up: The Streets
—Step Up Revolution
—Step Up
(Because this is kinda long and I don’t want it taking up so much space a Read more is here. )
I saw Step Up Revolution today!!! I could have paid extra to see it in 3D but I didn’t really want to. 2D was just as well (though I could tell what would have been in 3D watching it….)
I LOVED it…..as I thought it would. No, it wasn’t some academy award winning film but it was a feel good film and an awesome super good time!!
This movie definitely had a different feel from it then the first 3…..but that’s not a bad thing.
The dancing was off the hook!! And it wasn’t just about the dancing….but about the creative spin they put on it!! I loved the art gallery scene!! I know I’m an artist and supposedly by rights I’m suppose to like going to art galleries, but I don’t.
But shoot, if an art gallery experience was like I’d go!!
I have to send mad props out to the choreographers. The sheer magnitude of the dances was amazing!! Coordinating all those people and looking good at the same time….that had to take talent. You all have topped yourselves!!
And once again I love that this series has lessons about living and fighting for your dreams. There were parts that were very moving to me.
Needless to say, I can’t wait to get this on DVD!! I look forward to it.
I’ll probably reblog stuff about Step Up….I’d apologize but I really won’t be sorry…..
In celebration of the eve of the premiere of the new movie Step Up Revolution, I decided this was the perfect time to link my LXD MV I made and uploaded the other week.
Featuring: The LXD with Kraddy’s Android Porn
(Oh yes, spoilers if you haven’t seen the entire series… and I’m so excited to see that S4 is being worked upon.)
I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m excited to see Step Up Revolution in theaters this weekend!! I have plans to go tomorrow!!
(Needless to say I own nothing, just a fan showing love….)
Okay, I just had to get this out there. To all the people saying that the Step Up series has no plot, the only thing good about it is the dancing…..
Can I just remind everyone something right now?
It’s a…. DANCE….. movie?
As in, the main focus is to showcase the DANCING. Just because it’s not Gone with the Wind or Titanic and doesn’t have Leonardio DiCaprio or god forbid, Tom Cruise in it doesn’t make it a bad movie.
If you wanna see an Academy award, drama movie then go watch it. I love them too, don’t get me wrong. I love drama movies, psychological thrillers, romance…etc.
But Step Up in particular is not necessary about who can make the most tearjerking, plot twisting film. It’s about….DANCE. It’s a musical movie about DANCE.
Personally, I think the Step Up series has a worthwhile plot. I always got life messages from the movies.
Step Up 2: Be yourself, don’t conform. It’s not about what you got; it’s about what you make of what you got. (And boy do I need to be reminded about this at this stage of my life)
Step Up 3: Fight for your dreams; don’t give them up
Step Up 1: (2 and 3 are my favs so I have to actively think about the first one which I enjoyed don’t get me wrong) You can always be better; don’t let your surrounding keep you down.
In fact based on what I’ve seen of Step Up 4, I can come up with some lessons already: You can find other weapons to fight with that doesn’t involve violence; You can take something that most would not think is not a way to be heard (ie dancing, making films, hey even cooking if you figure out a creative way to do so) and use it so you are heard.
And this is all from trailers, movie summary and behind the scene footage, thank you.
And while I’m on the subject….we need movies that are just fun. Good old pure fun. What is with Hollywood today that everyone gotta be a critic about everything? Can you just please watch a movie and just enjoy it without nickpicking?
Look you don’t like a movie….wonderful. There are plenty of movies I don’t like and if it was up to me wouldn’t have even existed. There are movies I wouldn’t be caught dead watching. There are movies that most people are all hyper about that I’m snoring through. There are movies I wouldn’t go see in theaters much less buy the DVD.
Everyone got what they like and what they don’t like and that is fine.
But to take a minute out of your day to actively write about the hate you feel for a movie is just unnecessary (unless you’re asked).
What you are doing is effectively crashing a party you don’t even want to be at. And may I ask, what sense is that?
None.
So back on point, you tired of Step Up or whatever other movie that you don’t want to see……that’s great, I’m happy for you, just make sure you aren’t caught at the ticket booth or hiding in the back row of the theater with sunglasses looking like a 30’s detective.
I thank you and have a good day.
