Entertainment Art major at College for Creative Studies. This has become an inspiration/play blog. Whatever I feel at the moment.

Thought that I needed to spread out a bit more from Deviantart and this seemed to be a viable way to do so. But I can still be found at http://desertfire.deviantart.com/

The sum of my day for the most part…

Seriously.

It started with Yugioh.

But in order to under this, I must first say I used to be an avid anime fan back in the day. USED TO BE!! I lost interest about 5-ish years ago and now I can’t stand anime anymore. I get bored honestly.

(So aside from the occasional Hiao Myazki stuff (not gonna bother to figure out how to spell his name…), Studio Ghibili stuff I’m not the girl to rap about anime anymore.)

But today, during breakfast I turned on the TV thinking to channel surf and I ended up (or was already there) on the Saturday morning lineup with YGO playing.

Now back in the day, I wouldn’t miss it for nothing. Have the entire series taped on VHS….

I have passed by YGO before and would stop (for all of maybe 5 minutes) and it literally would make me twitch watching it nowadays. A long way from it being a favorite show of mine, I know.

But today I was only 3 or so minutes late so I actually sat through most of the episode. Now, I find it cheesy as jack and over dramatic but I watched it. I guess it beat the fav game of mind I usually have to play with my movies….opening the cabinet wondering which one I want to watch. And may not even figure it out even after I had finished my breakfast.

Then I got to thinking about the past gone by….

So I got out that particular season of YGO and watched some of that… forwarding to the parts I like I managed to stay with it for about an hour- 2 hours tops.

Then I got bored.

For some reason Dragonball Z came to mind….another favorite anime of mine back in the day. I got so much DBZ, it’s not funny. Never did managed to collect all the tapes of the series but I got a number of them, including some movies.

So I busted out the beginning with Raditiz and started watching…..

That last about 4-5 hours…..

Then I started getting bored and eventually that “can’t stand anime” thing was creeping back.

Yu Yu Hakusho was another favorite of mine that creeped up. So I busted out Spirit Detective saga and watched a little. Kurama and Hiei anyone?

That lasted about half and hour to an hour fast fowarding to what I wanted to see.

Followed by a random anime tape (VHS) that I put in that lasted all of 5 minutes before I was coming back to my senses.

I guess my every 5 or so year “reliving the past with anime” saga has come and gone and I’m back to normal now.

Now, I gotta get back to my Step Up  and whatnot.

But it was a nice trip down memory lane……
