I actually discovered this book hunting around here as usual. It looked to be a great book and especially something I could relate to being shy (and introverted) myself so I checked it out of the library.
The title was one of the things that caught my attention. I wish that the world would mute itself from time to time. There are times when I can’t even hear myself think being surrounded by noise.
Only 20-ish pages in and I thought this needs to be a prerequisite in English reading. Knock out one of those JaneEyres whoshotjohn that’s boring to read anyway and make high school kids read this just before they entire the next stage of life.
And then after I read this book, forget the high school, this needs to be read by every American citizen. It’s about time a mirror is turned on us, even if we don’t want to see it. And we need to get out of some of the so-called truths we hold onto that isn’t even true.
I’m so adding this to my collection!! It was a great read and I’m not normally into stuff like this but I learned a lot not only about others but myself as well. :)
So do yourself and everyone else a favor and read this book!
